Throwing out a good rave for the '70's today. I had a discussion with a very-special-certain-someone last night about the music from this era and came to the conclusion that this was a very important genre in my musical lifetime. And, I figured out why.
It was the decade of some of my most notable "firsts." First kiss, first dance with a boy, first date, first feel up (and down) and my first "time." It was also a decade when I formed incredible friendships with some of the most important women in my life. Women who are still in my life today and who I completely cherish.
When I hear music from the '70's I instantly remember what I was doing when I first heard that particular song. Strong music evoking even stronger memories.
Everyone has their decade.
